black wings

Yesterday my four year old declared a fact: “I can see your wings, Ma! You’re a fairy!” He blurted out behind me as we head back inside our house. “What?? Where?” He was so sure that he shouted back “Right there!” as he pointed to my back. It was the cutest imaginary compliment I got.
This afternoon in the car, he blurted again saying “There’s your wings Ma!” I was sitting on the backseat of the car so I turned around and smiled.
Me: Really? You can see my wings?
Z: Yup!
Me: What’s the color of my wings?
Z: Black.
Wahahahah! What an aweful sight! That would probably make me look like a wakwak! And so I asked him if he’s got wings too. He said they’re white, while his brother’s are brown, and his ate’s are yellow. He says that his Papa Dwynn has wings too and that they are grey. O_o
During our bedtime-storytime, I asked him again about it. He clearly says that I do have black wings and that I have a funny blue hair. What a cute little imagination. That’s just one of the many surprises I get from my boy. But really now I kind of like the idea of having my wings in black ^.^
